So the issue that made the new C !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! doesn't look like will be a problem for the renegade. A small lift looks entirely possible.
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
The main issue was that the strut was a Zero net tolerance strut with no adjustment due to a single bolt mount to the hub. Looking at the strut for the 2013 500L (of which the Renegade is a platform mate) shows as having a traditional 2 bolt, adjustable strut mounting.
So there is that.

Excellent! Soon there will be tipped over Renegades in ditches across the country!
(Rough estimate of what it will look like)

Honestly, I don't think anyone will really try more than 2" or so. Any more than that is missing the point of this vehicle.
Still, I can't wait to see one of these with a little more height and some knobby 30" tires on there. Maybe even 31's if they'll fit (though I doubt it).
Good find, BTW.

I think you underestimate the power of some Jeep fanboys

Oh I know someone will go ridiculous with it, I just mean mainstream kits you can order online.
That thing's horrific, BTW. There is a such thing as a well done Liberty rock crawler:
I remember following the build thread on that thing years ago, it was truly a beast. Wrangler swapped suspension and axles, lockers, gears, everything.

I'm no lifting expert but I'm not seeing what difference 2 bolts vs 1 bolt mounted to the hub gets you in this case. Please explain

camber adjustment. The Cherokee is basically a press fit between the strut and the hub, so you don't have any room to adjust for camber, so if you lift the wheel, you will run enough negative camber to wear out tires super quick.

I saw a solid axle conversion 1st gen the other day on the road. looked at least as ridiculous as this.
